Here’s something I’ve picked up on over the years: Anyone can be great for a day! Hell, even a few days!
BUT— How are you stacking up all week? This is going to give you a much better understanding.
-Protein… not getting the results you want? Are you hitting your protein target on a weekly average? Example… I’ll see guys get 180g Monday-Friday. Saturday and Sunday they eat out (which restaurants are not giving enough protein) and they hit 100g the weekend days. That leaves him 160g shy of protein target for the WEEK. That’s nearly a whole day of protein!
-Calories … you are crushing it Monday-Friday. Saturday you eat out or do a “cheat meal” let’s say your target is 2,000 calories. The weekend you 3,000 calories each day. Now you’ve consumed a FULL EXTRA DAY of calories.
These are just quick and simple examples to better understand why progress fails. Insert anything into this weekly “equation” and you’ll have more awareness of your progress or lack there of.
