I’m writing this on a Monday, though you’re reading it on Wednesday.
Tip #1: Be Proactive on your deliverables
alright, alright, alright - back on track
This morning, I woke up a bit later than usual, around 6 a.m. and took my time with a shower. My clothes were ready, my work bag in its usual spot. I had a quick chat with my wife about our days, then headed to the truck to take Crew to school. He typically isn’t ready until 7, so I use the 10-15 minutes in between to either sit in silence or do a breathwork routine. Some days it’s 5 minutes, others it’s closer to 20. It all depends on what I need and what kinda time I have available to me.
Tip #2 Set The Tone
I’m intentionally avoiding the rush, the busy mind, or the stress of running late. By being present, I refuse to let controllable chaos infect my spirit, especially with a full day of calls and content creation (like this email) ahead.
You might be thinking, “Thanks for the morning recap, but what’s this got to do with me?”
Most of Us Are Like The Rest Of Us
Over the years, I’ve worked with countless men whether at retreats, in groups, or 1:1 and I’ve noticed one thing they all have in common: there’s always low-hanging fruit to improve their lives. It’s right in front of us. The problem? It requires a slight shift in routine and a bit more intentionality.
It’s a different rhythm. And when you’ve been dancing to the same tune for years, changing it up can feel hard. But small, intentional changes like carving out 15 minutes for silence or breathwork can transform how you show up for your day. Most of you reading this already have that 15 mins. Just don’t pick up your phone or have your meals and clothes laid out. It’s not about adding more here. It’s about being intentional with the time you already have.
Tip # 3 - Be Intentional With Your Time
I share simple tips like this all the time. None of them work UNLESS you do the work.
Do Hard Things
Be Intentional
