Questions To Answer
It could always be worse.
It could always be better.
But what about the way it is? Is it not perfect just that way it is? Are we ever truly content with the way it is… Without addition or subtraction? Is reality ever wrong? Or is it our perception of reality that is wrong?
I ponder these things. Reality exists the way it is and we put a label on it. The way you label a circumstance may be totally different than the way I label the same circumstance. Does this mean our reality is different?
I notice this with money. My homie has 3million but feels broke and unsuccessful. My other homie gets by week to week and feels great about providing for his family. He feels successful.
You notice this in politics. Some people are in a constant state of anxiety, stress and anger this year. Others get on the same way they always have. Reality exists the way it is… we put a label on it.
We spend too much time on the negative thoughts. Science backs it too
now, when you label somthing as negative its taking up 4-7x more mental space than the positive thought.
Question this… “Is being this “informed” good for my mental health?”
A step deeper… Question this.. “is the “information” I am receiving from media outlets true about the reality in front of me?”
See the media (and not just news… but all this goofballs on twitter too) will present the world as if it’s burning down. That everyone is fighting in the streets over politics and diet plans. I look around my community and I see none of this. My reality is not what the media portrays it to be.
